Here are a few of our friends...

Jon Carroll - "Love Returns" What more can we say? This is a brilliant pop/soul/r&b record from an amazing musician. Great for driving and boppin'! He produced and played on One Horse Town's CD. |

Want a cool website like OHT's? Get in touch with these folks at barncattech.com. Coincidentally run by Lynn "I am the Internet! (and so can you!)" and Julia "gimme template!" Kasdorf. |

Kevin Welch is a native Oklahoman, but an artist known 'round the world for his deep and prolific songwriting and compelling delivery. In addition to being a long time friend and inspiration to Janet, Kevin has kindly shared the stage with OHT, an honor and a privelege for us! We thank you, kindly, Kevin. "Lost John Dean", the latest album from Kieran Kane , Kevin Welch and Fats Kaplin was released in May and quickly moved up the Americana/roots charts. It features Kevin and Kieran both trading lead singing and doing duets with the inimitable Fats providing color accompaniment.

Our alt-country heroes have up and moved to Nashville, but they're still our hometown boys! OHT sends a hearty thanks to Marty and Jim of Last Train Home for their enormous contribution to the OHT Debut CD, and to Eric and the band for letting us share the stage now and again! We love you guys!

"Danny Knicely's bluegrass and old-time roots run deep, and I've enjoyed jamming with him through the years. His fiddle feeds flatfooters, and his guitar drives hard, but it is his fluid mandolin that takes the spotlight here. This adventurous CD travels from community dance, though bluegrass festival campground, to the late night club. There are tributes to Bill Monroe and Kenny Baker, a jazzy version of "Ookpik Waltz," and several fine originals, including the newgrassy "Salt Run" in seven-four time. Thankfully avoiding Protools slickness, these grooves are intimate and alive, and the sound is big and round. The band can and does stretch out, displaying virtuousity as well as humor in the process. With this CD, Danny shows he's as much fun to listen to as he is to play with." Tim O'Brien |

This is one charming, kickin' instrumental record. Great kitchen music. Tara is a fine mandolin player, and this features Danny Knicely on guitar, mando, and whatever else he can get his hands on. |
 |
The Oklahoma Twisters is Lynn Kasdorf's (OHT's pedal steel player) "other" band. OKT is an authentic Western Swing dance band in the Bob Wills tradition. A CD is in the works and will be released sometime before the CD format is obsolete. |

One of the most underrated writers and performers of his time, Austin Cunningham's songs have been covered by many of the most important country artists
in history! And if you haven't heard Austin's live performance, you're
missin' out. No one engages an audience like AC! Hilarious, humble, a
powerful player with a glorious voice! Austin and Janet share a dear
friendship, and OHT has been blessed to share the stage and the supper
table with Austin a time or two! Austin, thank you so much for your
lovely, heartfelt words about the OHT cd! |
